Ich habe soeben die Illustrationen für die Außenseite eines faltbaren Papphäuschens (ca. 20 x 20 cm) für die Wuppertaler Stadsparkasse fertiggestellt. Dieses kleine Häuschen wird benutzt, um die Vorteile einer Hausrenovierung/-sanierung anschaulich zu erklären und sollte eine alte und eine rundum erneuerte Seite mit jeweils typischen Details haben. I’m working on an exciting new project… to be continued!

Das war einer meiner grafischen Lieblingsaufträge der letzten Monate: Hochzeitsdesign mit gemeinsamem Logo (bei dem jedes Detail einen Grund hat), CI, Stempel und Siegel (die nicht nur für den großen Tag, sondern auch danach für alle möglichen und unmöglichen Alltagsdinge nutzbar sein sollten) sowie das ganze große Druckwerk von der Vorankündigung über die Einladung mit Anreiseplan und Antwortkarte bis hin zur Danksagung – und das alles für ein ganz besonderes Paar, das ich über diese schöne Zusammenarbeit ein wenig besser kennen- und schätzen gelernt habe. Habe ich schon einmal erwähnt, wie gern ich Landkarten bastle? Diese hier ist von Auerstedt im Weimarer Land (Thüringen) und für eine Hochzeit im nächsten Jahr.

I love drawing maps, remembering discovered places and invent places that are undiscovered, but follow their own little logic… and it was great to be reminded of that by working on the “Lily Lux Notizbuch” (of the invented places – I gave parts of my actual existing maps to Lily Lux for the hotel scene in the book “Die wunderbare Welt der Lily Lux”…). And publishing this might be an inspiration for me to show some private map sketches? And to draw some more, someplace, soon… (more…)

Eine anderes Lieblingsprodukt von Lily Lux ist Süperkürl, weil man damit ganz ohne Dauerwellen, Chemie oder Klebeffekt die schönsten Locken zaubern kann! Und weil Lily Lux sich schon immer richtige echte Locken gewünscht hat und die so fröhlich machen… Süperkürl Locken halten zwar nur bis zur nächsten Haarwäsche, aber dafür kann man damit auch viele andere Frisuren (s.o.) haltbar machen und außerdem duftet es ganz wundervoll (findet Jack auch)… und Lily Lux hofft von ganzem Herzen, dass Süperkürl niemals seine Rezeptur ändert. Thanks to the friendly enquiry from Alberti, we discovered the wonderful online treasure hunt of Geocaching and could infect Lily Lux with enthusiasm. The time has come: Today, we celebrate the release of the Lily Lux Notizbuch and the first birthday of our book Die wunderbare Welt der Lily Lux and the Lily Lux Kühlschrankmagneten! We’d like to thank all of you for this wonderful and heartwarming first year!

On Lily Lux’ Website, owners of the Lily Lux Notizbuch will find special pages as a pdf from today on. If you wish, you may download them, cut them and glue or sew them into your book: fresh lists to fill in, some calendars, small seasonal specialties and special equipments to craft yourself. We’ll renew these pages every few weeks, so you’re welcome to check back and to tell us what you would like to find there!
