Neben einigen wunderbaren neuen Projekten, über die ich hier noch nichts verraten darf, habe ich im letzten Monat mal wieder angefangen, mit neuen Styles ganz jenseits meiner üblichen, sehr zeitaufwendigen Outlines zu experimentieren. Hier habe ich mit einem alten Märchenmotiv angefangen, das ich seit Jahren mal wieder überarbeiten wollte.

My fall illustration for the marvellous Malbogen Blog, coloured in by myself (thanks to Photoshop tidier than possible with crayons, I admit!) and decorated with a flying kite (in Lily Lux’ favourite red), a curious swallow and a cloud. I illustrated a fresh page for the marvellous Malbogen Blog, after Judith asked so nicely, the storm almost catched my scarf and Lily Lux felt like heading for new adventures… The special thing about this page is that it’s not just to colour it in, but as well to draw something on – and I would really like to see what kids (or adults :)) draw on… elephants, autumn leaves, spectating bunnies, chinese dragons, forest backgrounds, castles and towns, or something completely different maybe? Alright, I did start in May, but now my new site and the all-new and finally all-integrated Blog are ready – and after some stupid technical problems (I admit finding solutions was awesome though) I am able to perfectly kind of handle WordPress. (more…)

I slowly started to refurbish my website (it was about getting time for that!), and found some quite nice things I never showed – but they seem to deserve a nice place in my portfolio at least. For example all these Corporate Identities of places, stores and places I developped and visualized for Die wunderbare Welt der Lily Lux and that I would highly appreciate to find in my own world! Here in the blog I’m going to introduce some of my fictional favourites with little stories… I hope you enjoy.

My first all-handmade original drawing since 2004, for the sketchbook ‘Meine Welt’ (my world) by Illustratoren-Organisation. It was great, great fun and I had a hilarious weekend with the book… even though it was really heartbreaking to say goodbye and send it over to its next stop! (more…)
