Ich arbeite momentan an einem ganz wunderbaren und außerordentlich herausfordernden Buchprojekt für den Wimmelbuch Verlag, das nächstes Jahr erscheinen wird und aus dem ich bis dahin immer mal wieder Vorschauszenen und -ausschnitte zeigen möchte. Und hier geht’s los!

Hier nur schnell einige Skizzen für ein wunderbares neues Projekt, mit dem ich gade angefangen habe!

I illustrated a fresh page for the marvellous Malbogen Blog, after Judith asked so nicely, the storm almost catched my scarf and Lily Lux felt like heading for new adventures… The special thing about this page is that it’s not just to colour it in, but as well to draw something on – and I would really like to see what kids (or adults :)) draw on… elephants, autumn leaves, spectating bunnies, chinese dragons, forest backgrounds, castles and towns, or something completely different maybe? I love drawing maps, remembering discovered places and invent places that are undiscovered, but follow their own little logic… and it was great to be reminded of that by working on the “Lily Lux Notizbuch” (of the invented places – I gave parts of my actual existing maps to Lily Lux for the hotel scene in the book “Die wunderbare Welt der Lily Lux”…). And publishing this might be an inspiration for me to show some private map sketches? And to draw some more, someplace, soon… (more…)

Eine anderes Lieblingsprodukt von Lily Lux ist Süperkürl, weil man damit ganz ohne Dauerwellen, Chemie oder Klebeffekt die schönsten Locken zaubern kann! Und weil Lily Lux sich schon immer richtige echte Locken gewünscht hat und die so fröhlich machen… Süperkürl Locken halten zwar nur bis zur nächsten Haarwäsche, aber dafür kann man damit auch viele andere Frisuren (s.o.) haltbar machen und außerdem duftet es ganz wundervoll (findet Jack auch)… und Lily Lux hofft von ganzem Herzen, dass Süperkürl niemals seine Rezeptur ändert. Die Spezial L Vollkornflakes finden sich in “Die wunderbare Welt der Lily Lux” bei Lily auf dem Frühstückstisch, und auch in Mia’s Mikromarkt im Regal und Einkaufswagen. Außerdem gibt es von dieser fiktiven Marke bzw. deren Logofigur, der frechen kleinen Krake, nicht nur kleine Buttons und Magnete, die Lily auf ihren Magnetpinnwänden benutzt, sondern auch Figuren, die in beiden Büchern an den unterschiedlichsten Stellen versteckt sind und die Lily in einer Packung Vollkornflakes gefunden hat. Weil Produkte mit Spielzeug in der Packung einfach besser schmecken. (more…)

Lily Lux liebt Chic Chica! Die haben nämlich nicht nur ein überaus hübsches Logo, sondern stellen auch richtig guten Kaffee her (in verschiedenen Sorten: Traditioneller Kaffee, Blümchen Kaffee, Espresso Kaffee), und darüber hinaus sogar äußerst schicke Figuren, Magneten, Notizblöcke und Lieblingstassen mit dem Chica-Püppchen drauf. Die Produkte von Chic Chica gibt es in Lily Lux’ liebstem Supermarkt, Mia’s Mikromarkt, zu kaufen, und sie werden ebenfalls in beiden Büchern gezeigt; im “Lily Lux Notizbuch” findet man sogar eine kleine Nähanleitung für das Chica-Püppchen. Die Ausstellung über Fliegende Fische ist zum ersten Mal in “Die wunderbare Welt der Lily Lux” zu sehen, an der wunderbaren Bilderwand im Flur, wo Lily ihre Lieblingswunder in Bilderrahmen sammelt. Außerdem hängen die fliegenden Fischchen als Figuren in ihrem Badezimmerfenster! Und im “Lily Lux Notizbuch” hat Lily dann ihre Eintrittskarte eingeklebt.

Das Corso Kintopp Kino taucht zum ersten Mal in “Die wunderbare Welt der Lily Lux auf”, wo ein kleiner Flyer an der Flurpinnwand hängt und auf eine Stummfilmnacht hinweist. Und im “Lily Lux Notizbuch” finden wir dann die Eintrittskarten dazu. (more…)

Der Wildpark Hirschforter Heideland, wo man liebreizende Rehe und viele andere Tiere persönlich kennenlernen kann, stellt schöne Andenkenfiguren und bunte Tassen her, und ist bereits aus dem Buch “Die wunderbare Welt der Lily Lux” bekannt. (more…)

I slowly started to refurbish my website (it was about getting time for that!), and found some quite nice things I never showed – but they seem to deserve a nice place in my portfolio at least. For example all these Corporate Identities of places, stores and places I developped and visualized for Die wunderbare Welt der Lily Lux and that I would highly appreciate to find in my own world! Here in the blog I’m going to introduce some of my fictional favourites with little stories… I hope you enjoy.
